    Developing the brand Gladiatrix

    New Packaging and Brand Development

    This August I decided to shield myself and start iterating on my product and continue developing the brand Gladiatrix . Web, Branding, Newsletter, Networks, Blog, Packaging.

    In this post I tell you how I have created a new product and purchasing experience and how I continue to develop the brand Gladiatrix .

    My project began to be cooked in December 2022, but like everything, until I started it I was not going to know if:

    • there was interest in such a product,
    • If there was enough market to have the potential to become a business,
    • If this market was too close or there was also room for me,
    • If the girls were willing to invest and buy these products,
    • and of course, if it could be profitable or scalable at some point.

    It is for this reason that I went to market with what is called a minimum viable product (mvp). A half-finished product and brand that would allow me to collect testimonials and feedback to understand who my client is and what she wants. As you can imagine, it is a long process that never really ends, and if you do it right, it can help you not waste your time, money, and products in the trash. I tell you all this so that you know that the way things have happened has a reason and a study behind it, and so that you also understand my work philosophy and why I am taking each of these steps and at what times.

    Now that my product is validated, I have decided to invest in developing the brand and the purchasing experience without costs skyrocketing and having a notable impact on the product. Therefore, I have tried to create packaging with awareness.

    Web and Branding:

    At the beginning of the year when I started talking to girls who practiced boxing, I understood that they wanted to escape from the color pink and everything called feminine, but then the color pink has been the main protagonist throughout this time. It may be that simply the pink that they offered us or the way in which they sold it to us caused us rejection, but in Gladiatrix It has been the flagship color, that is why I have finally decided to make it part of the core of the brand.

    The Barbie phenomenon may have had something to do with it, who knows, the fact is that the web has changed radically and I think we understand what it is and what it offers; It has a differential value. Don't you think so? Of course I will improve it and add more elements, but the concept is finally taking shape.

    Purchasing and Unboxing Experience:

    If I have discovered something on Tik Tok, it is that for my potential clients the experience when opening the package is super important. It is a moment to which they pay special attention and expect surprises. And, although in the boxing sector it is not something that is popular (precisely for this reason Gladiatrix ) is something I want to offer you.

    These have been the options that I have designed for the new packaging. Versatile options that reflect the interests of the typical customer and that are not very expensive so that they do not affect the price of the product.

    • The keychains can go in very large orders or repeat clients, a detail that is not expensive and that in addition to being exciting, will make you feel part of the brand by carrying it with you on a daily basis. Can you imagine receiving something like this by surprise?
    • Customized boxes are very expensive, and as I told you, I try to work with minimum viable products, so the best option I have found has been stickers or adhesive tapes that stick with water. More original than a simple label.

    • Personalized cards that you can frame as a postcard and with which you feel identified. The colored nails with a broken nail and the handwraps . Is there anything else Gladiatrix ?
    • A nice bag to carry and store your gloves. This is tricky since, by having holes, people will be able to see the designs. A little hack so that the rest notice on the street and can ask the client about them 😜 But like in everything, you can't start without things happening to you. In this case, the transport company lost the package and I am still waiting for it to arrive...
